Rosaiah resigns give a chance to Kiran kumar, Jaipal & Geeta Reddy for the Andhra CM post.

Nearly 15 months after he took over, the 78-year-old Rosaiah said he was unable to withstand the work pressure because of his age.


The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Konijeti Rosaiah has submitted his resignation to Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan on Wednesday afternoon. And reports said that he was incapable to endure the work-pressure as of his age.
The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) will choose a new leader at an emergency meeting on Wednesday evening. The 78 years old leader had taken over as the CM on September 3 preceding year subsequent the death of YS Rajasekhara Reddy in a helicopter crash.
The resignation came among mounting pressure from a section of the party leaders to act against party MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy in awaken of a programme telecast by the latter’s Sakshi channel disapproved of Congress president Sonia gandhi
Rosaiah statemented that “There is no specific reason. Because of my age and because of the situation I am not able to withstand; so I sought permission from the high command for my resignation and at last they have agreed and permitted me; I am grateful to the high command, particularly Srimati Sonia Gandhi.”
He also said that he was pleased with his work throughout the preceding 14 months and thanked Gandhi. and all leaders and legislators of the party.
According to the confidential reports, Number 1 Telugu television channel TV9 is playing an involved role in brokering peace between Rayalaseema group leader Gangula Suryapratap Reddy alias Maddelacheruvu Suri and naxalite turned faction leader Pothula Suresh.
Union minister S. Jaipal Reddy, state Assembly Speaker N. Kirankumar Reddy, and state minister J. Geeta Reddy also Pallam Raju are amongst the frontrunners for the post of Andhra Pradesh chief minister following K. Rosaiah’s resignation.


The expert leader quit a day after his visit to New delhi where he is supposed to have met Gandhi and submitted his resignation letter. On his arrival to Hyderabad Tuesday night, he proclaimed that the CLP meeting would be held this Wednesday evening.
