Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor New Hindi Film Mausam Movie Review:
It takes a lot for any actor to give away two years of his career for a film. And when one does, expectations from him peak to extreme extents. Shahid Kapoor might just be facing the same. After almost two years, the actor is making his way to silver screen with his father's ambitious project Mausam. The film has already been the centre of controversies first with the Indian Air Force's disapproval and now the Railway ruckus. Now it only remains to be seen whether it meets people's expectations or not.

Story and Movie Analysis:
Mausam is a love saga of two star-crossed lovers Harinder Singh aka Harry (Shahid Kapoor) and Aayat (Sonam Kapoor) who keep meeting and separating time and again due to their ill-fate that works against them each time. Harry, a Punjab da munda first meets Aayat, a troubled soul displaced from Kashmir due to the political problems going there in small village Mallukot in Punjab. They meet, a vintage style love story sparks between the two and before the two can confess their love to each other comes the first twist, Aayat suddenly moves to Mumbai and Harry takes to further education as an air force pilot. Seven years later, the two meet again, this time in Scotland. Love reignites, but this time Harry disappears; Courtesy Kargil war. This happens twice over again and the ill-fated lovers keep hoping that they may re-unite someday. How they come together EVENTUALLY, follows through the rest of the plot.

If you think that even the concise version of the plot appears long, then wait till you see this film. With a run time of nearly 3 hours, Mausam is painfully long and can easily pass off as a never-ending saga. Mausam's tagline 'A love story beyond romance' definitely holds true to itself as there are almost all the political events included in the film that occurred between 1992 to 2002 and surprisingly each and every event affects the lives of the couple.

Mausam opens to a breezy, rustic and scenic Mallukot. The way filmmaker Pankaj Kapur weaves the love story with the backdrop of the small town in Punjab is very poetic. You almost get engulfed into the fascinating setting of Mallukot. The seedy lanes, the lush green farms and the joint terraces of bungalows; each and every frame is artistically captured by cinematographer Binod Pradhan.

Artist Performances:
The chemistry between Sonam and Shahid remains consistent throughout the film and is praiseworthy. Right from the coyness in their love when they first meet to the intensity in their romance when they first kiss in Scotland, every aspect is well-defined. Shahid as an Air-Force though may resemble Brad Pitt of Inglorious Bastard but Shahid with all his boyish charm as a mischievous villager is very pleasing. Sonam struggles to act but appears extremely beautiful throughout the film and shares some of the most brilliant scenes with Shahid. The music of the film by Pritam brings out the romance and the longing of the couple brilliantly too. Supriya Pathak, Manoj Pahwa, Anupam Kher and almost each and every character actor contribute in making a film worthy.

Technical Departments:
But despite many awesome moments in Mausam there are also many moments in the film that are bothersome. The biggest being its clichéd predictability. Even before a scene unravels on the screen you know what you are about to see. Moreover, the excessive usage of unsettling political events is tiresome and annoying. The script appears hugely flawed in the second half and hence makes people lose interest in the film. The climax of the film is highly filmy and would either make you red on your face or would make you laugh and the clichéd execution. Some of the dialogues too are very philosophical and serve as irritant. The highly controversial action sequence of the fighter planes is just about 2 minutes long and very amateurish. One barely gets a feel of an air force raid.

Final View:
To sum it up, Mausam is flawed and tiresome but still has a good chance with people who are simply in love with love.

Imaran Khan And Katrina Kaif New hindi Film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan Movie Review:
Well it Seems To be This Film was not worked so far that Audience and Fans Has Expexted. Its Not a nither hit nor Flop.

Story And Movie Analysis:
Somewhere in the vast spaces of mainstream Hindi cinema, the North Indian shaadi with its band baaja and, yes, baarati, seems to have made a permanent place in our cinema. "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan" (MBKD) is the third film in the last 8 months after the delightful "Band Baaja Baarat" and the surprising "Tanu Weds Manu" to weave a rom-com around the sights, sounds, scents, stress, chaos and satire of a big fat Hindu wedding.

Must say, the other two films got it right dead-on. MBKD flounders in its frisky fusion of a love triangle and plea for an arranged marriage. Debutant director Ali Abbas Zafar knows the subtexts in his script well enough to conceal the rather glaring discrepancies in the storytelling.

The narration quite frequently relies on jump cuts, retro music and other external ploys to make the goings-on appear more involving than they really are. The recurrent use of R.D. Burman's "Piya to ab to aaja" has no relevance after a point. It just becomes a tiresome inclusion.

The three main characters, played by three watchable stars one of them from across the border, manage to take the plot's improbabilities into the province of the palatable. But the situational humour doesn't quite have the delightfully disarming naturalness of "Band Baaja Baraat".

But the characters exude a contagious warmth, more in their individual capacity than in combinations. For a film about love warmth togetherness and family bonding during the time of a wedding, the interactive warmth between characters is strangely missing. Besides one memorable sequence towards the beginning in front of the Taj Mahal (a recurring cultural and sociological symbol in the film) when they share cold chai, there is little to suggest any serious bonding between Katrina Kaif and Imran Khan...or for that matter, between the two brothers played by Ali Zafar and Imran Khan.

Zafar who delighted in the satirical mode of "Tere Bin Laden", returns with yet another performance that knows how over-the-top to go without toppling over. Yup, Zafar gets it pitch-perfect all the way. The same cannot be said of the film which occasionally slips into becoming a stretch.

What really redeems the film's blind spots is Katrina Kaif who brings a very special transparency and dazzle to her role of a wild child who wants to have all the fun that she can before she settles into a comfortably arranged marriage with the rakish NRI Ali Zafar.

Fun, as it turns out, leading to falling in love with her brother-in-law-to-be. The turn of events may surprise the characters. We remain largely detached from the synthesis of celebration and drama.

Artist Performances:
"What will I tell everyone? That I fell in love with my Bhabhi?" the embarrassed and horrified brother-in-law tells his untamable babhi-to-be.

That's Imran Khan, playing the sweet-tempered benign do-gooder once again. Khan stays in his comfort zone while Katrina comes out of it to give herself and the audience the time of her life.Here the supporting actors are serviceable. Parikshat Sahnni and Kanwaljeet as the couple's fathers try to be comic and filmy. They just looked jaded.

Technical And Other Departments:
There is nothing seriously amiss in MBKD. It gets right the camerawork (Sudeep Chatterjee), music (Sohail Sen) and the outdoor locations in and around Delhi. What it misses out on is that element of unpredictability during the time of a wedding that "Band Baaja Baarat" and "Tanu Weds Manu" managed to capture probably because the couple at the helm was supported by any number of splendid supporting stars.

Final View:
By the time the Brother walks away with the Dulhan we really have nothing we would like to say to them, except, what took them so long?

After the two successful films ‘Adavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule’ and ‘Namo Venkatesa’, the Venky-Trisha jodi is back again. Yes! The latest news says that Trisha had been signed in to play the leading lady in Venkatesh’s latest film ‘Bodyguard’. This is a remake of 2010 Malayalam super hit romantic comedy entertainer directed by Siddique with Dileep and Nayantara as lead pair. This movie has been remade with Vijay and Asin as ‘Kavalan’ which also turned out to be a box office hit. Telugu famous producer Bellamkonda Suresh has purchased the remake rights and is now in the process of making it. This movie will go on floors in April and will be directed by Gopichand Malineni of ‘Don Seenu’ fame. ‘Bodyguard’ will also be remade in Hindi with Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

Now the Venkatesh Bodyguard movie previously had many heroes for the lead role. First it was Balakrishna, then Ravi Teja, later it was Sunil. But now it is Venaktesh and this Bodyguard Telugu movie is a successful Malayalam remake and Salman Khan is doing Bodyguard in Hindi version.

After Nagavalli failure (a remake of Kannada movie), surely Venkatesh might have set his eyes on Bodyguard Telugu movie. The final cast and crew for Venkatesh Bodyguard movie is yet to be decided, but reports say that Bellamkonda Suresh is looking for a top heroine. Bodyguard movie launch Muhurtham is scheduled for April 4, 2011.

Bellamkonda Suresh, after his Nagavalli debacle, is now looking to consolidate with Venkatesh Bodyguard Telugu movie. And on the flip side, its party time for Gopichand Malineni since he's about to do a Telugu movie with Naga Chaitanya and now he's be beckoned with Venkatesh Bodyguard Telugu movie. Gopichand Malineni, Venkatesh are working together for Bodyguard for the first time and it will be interesting to see how Gopichand Malineni handles Venkatesh.
